Chrome and Phase 2
Author: Admin
Last night google released their new open source web browser called Chrome. The link for the browser seems to be on almost all of the google landing pages, so we decided we should download it and have a try. We were pleasantly surprised when all of our web sites (see portfolio) worked brilliantly, it is a still in beta, but it looks like it could be a winner.
With the recent release of Firefox 3, Opera, Safari, IE7 and now maybe Chrome, there is no real excuse for any one out there to still be using IE6 (Visit here for more info) . So on that note, when phase 2 of our new web site rolls out in the next week, we will stop supporting IE6, and older browsers. This doesn't mean that you won't be able to view our web site, but some of the new features might not be visible on older browsers. SO UPGRADE NOW.

Updated Purple Pixels
Author: Udoh
We have been busy updating the Purple Pixels website, the first major change you might notice is that the width of the content has been expanded (this has nothing to do with one of us getting a Widescreen monitor, honest). We have also changed a lot of colours and content on the site, including powering a lot of the pages using our, in house written CMS tool Purple Pixels Simple Data (PPSD).
Since we began Purple Pixels, our services have changed and adapted to suit our skills, and in turn we have moved from Photography to more website orienated content. In this. we have replaced the Photography menu item with our webdesign Portfolio. If you like to view some of our photo's then you can find the photogallery link on the art menu.

We have been working hard in the recent month to finish a major update to the PPSD (Purple Pixels Simple Data). We have made a lot of changes to it's functionality and also to it's theme, and when we are done with our testing we will update the Purple Pixels web site with more details. We have also just finished working on a new site for an Electrical Contractor based in Surrey in UK, Brian Morrissey this design will soon be available as a standard template from Purple Pixels.

PPSD
Author: Udoh
We have been busy updating our dynamic data entry system, and renamed it to PPSD (Purple Pixels Simple Data), When the customer first used it, they were suprised how Simple it was. It has been running successfully on www.purple-pixels.co.uk and www.eclipse-photos.co.uk for well over a month now. The PPSD system has been expanded to work with most pages on www.eclipse-photos.co.uk so the end user can add information without us being involved.
We were very pleased by a few emails that were forwarded onto us regarding www.eclipse-photos.co.uk, saying that the web site was very professional. We have also had someone showing an interest in having a similar web site to www.eclipse-photos.co.uk.
Last month www.eclipse-photos.co.uk had nearly 1,200 unique visitors and 3,500 actual visits, this makes it the busiest web site we have designed. Good Luck www.eclipse-photos.co.uk, and best wishes for the 2,000 unique visitors per month.

mhh.. Introduction Posts
Author: Sym
Soo, yea, never did like these introduction posts. Never could decied what to say or who to make fun of, and as i write i still haven't decided upon that. Anyhow i'm the "new fella"; actually ive been working behind the scenes for close to 6 months now, being the genius in the dark, coming up with entirely random ideas, and coding new scripts and web applications. This New And Improved News system Dubbed "PPDDE" (Purple-Pixels Dynamic Data Entry) is my first Live creation, and i know it all looks the same to you, but you can believe me when i say it makes our life easier, for updating websites.
Hope to get our clients updated with this new system, and show them How much easier, faster and secure it is.. but while the others do that il get continued with working the last bug swine out, and working on the next project. But anyhow thats me, if I leave now I think I can actually get away without breaking the english language that much more with my irish look at things..
